overview
context
As part of a marketing repositioning, BazarChic, a leading platform for online private sales, launched a redesign of its key user journeys. The Product Listing Page (PLP) and Product Detail Page (PDP) were reimagined to enhance the shopping experience, improve offer clarity, and strengthen the platform’s visual identity.
brief
The goal of this project was to improve the shopping experience by creating a product page that is both intuitive and aligned with modern e-commerce standards. The focus was on clarity, efficiency, and user engagement.
  • Simplify exploration: allow users to easily browse and compare offers.
  • Highlight essentials: ensure price, brand, discount, and availability are instantly visible.
  • Structure the page: present information in a clean, well-organized layout.
  • Boost engagement: design a product page that encourages trust and interaction.
By combining a streamlined layout with clear product information, the redesigned page enhances usability, reduces friction in the decision-making process, and delivers a shopping experience that matches the expectations of today’s online consumers.

PERSONAS
User testing
Through targeted user testing, we uncovered key pain points in BazarChic’s shopping experience. We interviewed users about the clarity of product pages and their perception of the brand identity. The feedback was consistent: the current design lacked modernity, the visual hierarchy was confusing, and the search filters didn’t always meet their needs. These insights directly guided the redesign of the PLP and PDP.
What do you think about the product display and information (product card)?
The product display is good. The information is fine, but I like knowing about the material and available sizes.
There’s enough information to make an initial decision: brand, item description, and you can even scroll through product photos directly on the page
The layout feels a bit outdated. I don’t usually spend time on clothing/accessory sales sites, but the design feels old, especially the fonts. It gives the impression of a site that’s not very modern or serious.
What would you have done differently to improve the page?
I would have chosen funkier models for the photos (the cashmere side makes it a bit old). It’s not trendy, not funky, more for older people. Also, there’s too much white; it lacks punch.
I would have made the daily sale section smaller; it currently takes up almost the whole page. Faces are cut off, and it feels cramped. The text could also be bigger. There’s no real visual hierarchy, it feels poorly designed.
Maybe instead of the blocks on the left, I would have placed the product cards and moved the newsletter and Alma banners elsewhere. It would feel clearer and less tight.
What is your first impression of this page?
Understandable
Old
Outdated
Minimalist
Through others questions such as:
  • Were the default filters ("Size", "Colors", etc.) relevant for your initial search?
  • Did you have difficulty combining multiple filters? If yes, which ones?
  • What do you understand from the top of the page?
  • ...

We were able to identify the following points:

👍 Good points
  • Having multiple product photos from different angles
  • Easy-to-use filters
  • Ability to view multiple images without needing to enter the product page
  • Clear and intuitive design
👎 Pain points
  • The visuals / model poses with products are not modern
  • Missing filters like material and cut (crew neck, turtleneck, sleeve length...)
  • Misunderstanding of the "Express Purchase" term
  • Left column with Alma and newsletter is unnecessary → should rather have a 4-column layout (on desktop)
  • Basic design that doesn’t strongly establish a brand identity
  • The site feels too white and lacks personality
DESIGN SYSTEM & ART DIRECTION
Instead of starting from scratch, we built upon BazarChic’s existing brand foundations. Colors, typography, and tone were preserved while introducing new visual elements tailored to the PLP and PDP flows. The goal was to strengthen the brand identity while ensuring visual consistency across pages — aligning the overall experience with modern e-commerce expectations.
UI Components
We designed modular, reusable components to enhance both the PLP and PDP experiences. These components deliver a smoother, more structured shopping experience while reinforcing the brand’s visual identity.
Delivery
Product Listing Page (PLP)
With modular components and improved hierarchy, the PLP now offers a cleaner browsing experience: offers are immediately visible, filters are precise, and navigation is intuitive — making it easier for users to discover and select products.
Product Detail Page (PDP)
The PDP becomes more immersive and effective: visuals are showcased prominently, key information (price, sizes, availability, express options) is immediately accessible, and interactions (add to cart, product options, transitions) are optimized for quick, confident decision-making.
